Benefits to Government Agencies

The national implementation of the RAISEonline portal in England has delivered significant benefits to users:

Consistent data - consistent views - better decisions:

The portal, reports and views are all driven from a snapshot of pupil level data validated and approved by the education department in England (DCSF). This single view is easier to update, is universally accessible and the report formats help teachers and inspectors reach joint decisions faster.

Lowers costs:

The inspection process in England was supported by distributed systems and reports that was time consuming and costly to maintain. A single, secure portal has reduced the cost of software updates and data maintenance, as well as streamlining annual updates. Decreased administration labour and improving inspection processes means and organisation spends less in ongoing costs, while providing benefits for its staff.

Any report, any time:

With online access, an organisation can create any report through the filtering and sorting of data via its own specified parameters.

Helps identify key actions to improve results:

The reports available through the portal enable inspectors to focus quickly on key areas for improvement. These reports are derived from pupil level data and enable comparisons with national aggregates and other trend data, grounding these decisions effectively. Approved school users can also access grades, marks and question level details so that, in preparation for an inspection, interventions and improvements can also be shared.
