Functionality for Administrators

scoris administrative interface

One of the key features of the scoris marking solution is in providing control and transparency for awarding organisations. This is key to driving improvements in the quality, and the support, of marking and the whole awarding process.

The scoris Administrative Interface provides all of the tools that are required so that administrators and supervisory markers can achieve this.

These administrative tools are available from data set-up, through live marking and beyond. The application is available 24/7 for the use of administrators.

Access to the Administrative Interface is controlled by providing group rights and permissions for individual users in those groups. It is therefore possible to control access to each tool based on the user’s responsibilities.

Some of the tools available via the scoris Administration Interface are:

  • candidate enquiries – to review the completed scripts from individual markers or those from a specific centre or school;
  • marker management – monitoring marking progression, modifying marking teams and team structures, etc.;
  • paper and section management – tweaking a variety of important properties relating to the management of the papers and their sections;
  • reporting – many different reports, providing and maintaining management and operational transparency;
  • messages and exceptions – for dealing with issues with scripts, candidate welfare and the ongoing assistance for the markers throughout the marking process;
  • pirate processing – handling unexpected candidate scripts;
  • image zoning on scripts – for the modification of how structured examination papers are rendered to markers;
  • access to scripts – providing PDF-rendered output of scripts and associated marking judgements, comments and annotations;
  • amending definitive marks – to be able to adjust definitive marks continuously for practice, standardisation and seeding scripts;
  • re-marks – for identification and managing issues which lead to the requirement for a script to be re-marked.
