New Directions in e-Assessment Seminar

31st May 2012

Wednesday 23rd May saw the gathering together in London of representatives from UK professional accreditation bodies for an RM-sponsored seminar aimed at providing an overview of the latest technologies and trends in online assessment.

RM Assessment Seminar

The New Directions in e-Assessment seminar was held at the London Film Museum and featured insights from Patrick Craven of Cambridge Assessment, Professor Chris Edwards of Cranfield School of Management and Martin Ripley of World Class Arena.

RM product managers showcased the new web-based version of our market leading onscreen marking solution scoris Assessor, and our innovative exam authoring tool, scoris Author, which is due for release later this year, while our Business Development Director David Haggie gave a glimpse into the future of online assessment.

Delegate comments on the event included:

  • "I found the seminar extremely useful, it was my first real opportunity to speak to others who are working in similar roles to myself"
  • "The new scoris Author platform was very interesting and I thought all the talks were very good"
  • "It was helpful in assessing where my organisation is in terms of technical and functional capability"
  • "Good strategic overview of reasons and considerations of e-assessment implementation"

The day was felt to be a great success in clarifying the e-assessment process, providing a networking opportunity for professional accreditation bodies, and understanding how RM's flexible, end-to-end e-assessment products and services can help shape an effective assessment strategy.
